摘要

We have developed a rapid and simple method to detect human dust on-site. Human dust shows up as bright yellow particles in this test after reacting with Bromochlorophenol Blue dye. Since the other dust is not dyed, this yellow human dust can be easily detected under a microscope. The color change happens because of the electrostatic and hydrophobic reactions between the positively charged amino acids in the protein of human dust and the dye(HPCPB~-) under acidic conditions. This simple test enables on-site detection of human dust in as little as 20 min, and is sure to contribute to higher yields in industry.
