Rich Meta Object Facility

摘要

All Meta Object Facility (MOF) based specifications of the Object Management Group (OMG) are informal e.g., Common Warehouse Metamodel, Software Process Engineering Metamodel, and the famous Unified Modeling Language. Their informal character leads to syntactic and semantic ambiguities. In this paper a formal MOF language called Rich MOF (RMOF) is introduced. This language is augmented by a subset of UML State Charts in order to define algorithms and complemented by an instantiation framework. Within this framework it is possible to define all MOF related languages formally in a "UML-related" way.
