INFLUENCE OF FEEDING WITH FEEDS HAVING A DIFFERENT FAT CONTENT ON THE GROWTH AND COMPOSITION OF BLACKSPOT SEA BREAM (PAGELLUS BOGARAVEO) JUVENILES

摘要

Blackspot sea bream (Pagellus bogaraveo) is one of the species that has been recently introduced in the commercial aquaculture. It has been observed that this species accumulates a great amount of fat at perivisceral level, as well as in the liver andmuscle, during the fattening phase. This may be due to the culturing conditions and the diet used, and has an effect in the quality of the final product. In this work, the effects of two feeds having the same proteic content (50%) and two different fatcontents (16 and 10%) on the growth and composition of individuals cultured in cages are studied.
