As in all areas of production, polyurethane lines for the insulation of refrigerators and freezers are more cost-effective, the shorter the production processes. During foaming of refrigerator cabinets, core changing is one of the most time-consuming tasks within the production process as a whole. With today's diversity of refrigerated appliance models, it is particularly important to design this process as efficiently as possible. The new CoreFlex flexible core-changing system from Hennecke quickly and easily accomplishes core changing on all types of foaming fixtures. CoreFlex can be supplied as an integral part of new production lines or it can be (retro-) fitted to existing foaming fixtures. With this system, it is possible to carry out modifications during production and make preparations so that the overall production can be switched from one cabinet model to another if and when needed without loosing time. This paper will explain the function and technical aspects and highlight the resultant economical benefits of this new CoreFlex production process.
