摘要

Prescriptions of traditional Chinese medicinal herbs (TCMH) have been used for treating senile dementia for many years in China. Among the various types of herbs, Qi tonics and Yin tonics are frequently used. In view of the central role of Aβ in the pathogenesis of Alzheimer's disease[l-3], it is of interest to study the effect of the active components of these tonics on the production rate of Aβ.
