Recently a new reactor neutrino neutrino experiment has been proposed to improve the CHOOZ bound on θ_(13) by one order of magnitude. Here I discuss the potential of this kind of experiments and compare it to the one of superbeams. Furthermore I will emphasize the complementarity of the two approaches. Specifically I will discuss the possible synergies for the discovery of leptonic CP violation.
