摘要

This paper presents the microcontroller implementation and measurement results of a 5 kVA vector modulated indirect matrix converter (IMC). Most research on IMC modulation has been done applying analog technology. However, the indirect vector modulation method (IVM) with microcontroller technology is nowadays much more effective. The IMC implementation with the IVM has been found to work and to offer the benefits expected. Thus, the IMC may replace the direct matrix converter (DMC) when e.g. power-rating demands prevent using of DMC-modules.
