Dynamic Analysis of Three-Phase AC Converters: A Method for the Dynamic Analysisand Synthesis of Pulse-Modulated Three-Phase AC Converters

The purpose of this thesis is to establish a systematic approach to the methodsof dynamic modeling and analysis for three-phase AC power converters. Recent developments in AC power conversion (converters with soft-switching of the semiconductor switches) and the application of different pulse modulation techniques only increased the need for dynamic modeling. The proposed method of approach to the problem is to: (1) examine the existing DC-to-DC modeling techniques and investigate the possibility of extending the techniques to AC converter analysis; and (2) classify systematically AC converter topologies and related control techniques to study the control system configuration.
