Why and What of Supercritcal Ultra Supercritical and Advanced Ultra Supercritical(PPT)

1. As on 31st March 2017, 58.7% of India's electricity is produced by fossil-fuelled power plants, which are the source for CO2 and othere missions. Due to the abundant availability and low cost, coal will continue to be the main fuel for power generation for many more decades 2. India aims to reduce the emissions by improving the efficiency of thermal power plants and increasing the renewable sources of energy. 3. Supercritical, Ultra Supercritical and Advanced Ultra Supercritical power plants have higher efficiencies in the increasing order. Increase in efficiency reduces fossil fuel consumption and proportional emissions.
