Talking about the Blues as a music style has also something to do with describing a mood - being blue does not necessarily mean in this case that somebody opened a hopper or a high-speed mixer too quickly without being sure that the content would be in a dust-free form - this being blue here has a lot to do with extensive cleaning operations and a long thought process - some yelling may be included. Blues mucis in it's original definition is an African-American music that transverses a wide range of emotions and musical styles. ,,Feelin blue" is expressed in songs whose verses lament injustice or express longing for a better life and lost love , jobs and money. But blues is also a raucous dance music that celebrates pleasure and success. Central to the idea of blues performance is the concept that, by performing or listening to the blues , one is able to overcome sadness and loose the blues....... Blue pigments and colors on the other hand do have quite a history - blue being always the color of intellect , a symbol of devotion to noble ideas. While blue is abundant in sky and water, it is scarce under ground. Until the beginning of the 18th century , there was no blue pigment available but ground semi-precious stones like lapis lazuli and azurite , or a ground cobalt blue colored glass. In 1704 , Prussian Blue was discovered by accident by a chemist trying to formulate articifical crimson - it was first precipitated from salt , potash and a chemical compound made from blood. Prussian Blue has a high tinting strength and is lightfast - also especially beautiful in it's transparency.
