Strategies of Preventing and Reducing Bio-disaster of Forest Towards the 21st Century

Forest is playing more and more important roles in national economy. But biological disaster seriously restricts the economic, ecological and social benefits of forest. This paper systematically and comprehensively formulates the future development trend and social development demanding for controlling the forest biological disaster towards the 21st century in China. After analyzing the historical experiences and lessons of controlling forest biological disaster from home and abroad, the authors put forward some ideas on the control strategy of forest biological disaster. Some suggestions are also proposed on the future control strategy aiming at the Chinese different forest types, research general trends and key research problems.
