摘要

This paper reports the design and fabrication of an endoscopical micro-device for biopsy. The device is designed to be attached to the tip of endoscope for an effective sampling of the cells. A manipulator of the device is so-called exoskeletal microarm, which consists of shape memory alloy (SMA) for the actuation, polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) for the arm, and epoxy for the hard coating of the arm. The arm bends in a joint which makes it easier to control the arm. The biopsy device is fabricated by photolithography and copper electroplating. The movement of the biopsy is confirmed.
