In 2005, Dominion migrated from a control-area centric to an RTO-centric mode of operation This paper describes the bidding tools that Dominion set up to: • Forecast LMPs • Run unit commitment to forecast fuel burn • Create day-ahead unit offers & demand bids • Evaluate day-ahead strategies • Forecast day-ahead revenues, costs, and P&Ls • Submit day-ahead unit offers & demand Bids to PJM • Download day-ahead awards and LMPs • Post-analyze day-ahead SCUC schedules to check whether these schedules are optimal for Dominion
