摘要

A novel set of fluorescent reagents for DNA sequencing and analyses was developed using a fluorescence energy transfer principle with synthetic chemistry. These reagents are markedly superior when compared to single dye-labeled primers and dideoxynucleotides in DNA sequencing and in PCR-fragment analysis. Examples of construction, characterization, and application of these fluorescent reagents are described.
