Application of adaptive online DoE techniques for engine ECU calibration

摘要

This paper presents an efficient DoE method for planning experiments for ECU calibration. The successful combination of statistical techniques with geometrical concepts guarantees the identification of an optimal design for strongly non-linear systems defined in irregularly shaped experimental spaces, which are not given a priori. As a main advantage for the calibration engineer, by using the adaptive online DoE the complete procedure on the test bench has been automated requiring almost no pre-investigations and no specific statistical knowledge.
