摘要

A testing machine was developed to investigate the cause of therma cracking by simulating the thermal stress in mass concrete structures, in which axial restrained stress is dominant. This machine is capable of simulating the temperature rise due to heat of hydration and measuring the stress and strain from concrete placing until initiation of therma cracking by changing the restraining conditions between non-restrained condition and fully restrained condition. In this paper, the possibility to estimate the effect of expansive admixture to control thermal cracking was investigated.
