In-car safety and personal security needs of female drivers and passengers

摘要

Behavioural and physical differences exist between male and female passenger car drivers. As a result women are more vulnerable to certain types of injury than their male counterparts. This work shows that vehicle design, crash testing programmes and regulation should give more consideration to female characteristics in future activities.
