Modeling of Hybrid-Fender in Numerical Simulation Method on Ship Motions

摘要

We developed a new type marine fender called as "Hybrid-Fender" which was consisted of a first-fender, a guide pipe and an oil damper. We confirmed that the fender had several different unique properties compared with the existing marine fenders by ship berthing tests in prototype. In this paper, we try to model the property of the fender in a numerical simulation method of ship motions.
