An intelligent simulation model

摘要

The trial and error process required to obtain necessary results when designing a manufacturing process with a simulation model has been a longstanding concern due to its lengthy and indefinite nature. A hybrid-model approach incorporating aspects of Operations Research (OR) techniques with a simulation model is discussed. The hybrid model, deemed an Intelligent Simulation, serves to reduce the number of iterations as compared to a traditional simulation model.
