Distributed simulation of helicopter recovery operations at sea

YENEC is an HLA-compliant distributed interactive visual simulation system for training navy pilots and officers of the watch acting on helicopter operations of naval warships. This paper describes the design of the system and discusses some implementation issues. The YENGEC federation consists of a newly introduced helicopter federate, and two existing federates, namely, a frigate federate and an environment federate.
