Bamboo scaffold has a long history of application in the construction industry in Hong Kong and Mainland China. Bamboo material is environmental-friendly and low-cost. It has been widely used in the construction of new buildings, renovation, repair works, slope maintenance and neon signage works. Basically, it is a kind of temporary working platform and a means of access and egress for workers at height. However, the trend of substantial increased in height of building, Bamboo scaffold has been partly substituted at the bottom level by Metal scaffold or Metal Bamboo Matrix System Scaffolds in some projects to provide better foundation of overall scaffolding structure.
