Modbus TCP/IP and Industrial Automation 'Transparent Factory' By Schneider

The 'Transparent Factory' is an Ethernet solution for industrial automation and is a strategy that was put forth by Schneider Electric about 4 years ago. The key technology is Modbus TCP/IP using common communications protocol TCP/IP of Internet and TCP/IP physical layer to transport Modbus message. At present, some product in the 'Transparent Factory' solution, such as PLC, HMI, gateway devices, Speed variable driver, Power instruments, Motor control center etc., can be provided with a Web server and browser and can be accessed visual all date and information from Internet. This Paper is mainly to introduce some applications in the course of developing solution of 'Transparent Factory'.
