Through the phase analysis of the substances during the electrolytic process in YCC, some conclusions are pointed out. Firstly, the main factor to influence the quality of electrolytic copper (hereinafter referred as the EC) is the mechanical occlusion formed by solid impurity elements in the cracks of the EC. Secondly, the impurities in anode exists in copper matrix in form of solid solution and oxides slag inclusion among which As, Sb, Bi and pb combined a arsenic & lead oxide. Then the suspended solids in electrolyte produced in the process are so small (most of them is in urn level) that it is very difficult to be filtered out by common filtering equipment. Substances in Anode slime can be classified into two types as sulphate and oxides. Among them, silver mainly exists in form of silver sulfite, neither in form of metal silver nor silver chloride. Based on it, the writer proposes different points on the action of the chlorine ion during the electrolysis process and so on.
