A total of nine parasitoid species were recorded from agromyzid leafminers in Peninsular Malaysia with Liriomyza sativae, a lowland species, having the highest number, viz., the eulophids, Neochrysocharis formosa, N. sp., Cirrospilus ambiguus, Hemiptarsenus varicornis, Asecodes sp. A. Asecodes sp. B; the braconid, Opius spp. and the eucoilid, Gronotoma sp. Among the highland species, L. huidobrensis was parasitised by H. varicornis, Opius. spp. Chrysocharis pentheus and N. formosa whereas Chromatomyia horticola was parasitised by H. varicornis, C. pentheus, N, formosa, Opius sp., and Asecodes sp. A. Among the parasitoids, H. varicornis occurred in 67 percent of host plants assessed followed by N. formosa in 53 percent and C. ambiguus in 33 percent.The highest diversity of parasitoids, viz 6 species, was obtained from Vigna sesquipedalis. However, parasitism level was highest in L. cyclindrica (56 percent), followed by Hibiscus esculentus (33percent) and V. sesquipedalis (29 percent). The parasitoids, H, varicornis, Opius sp., N. formosa and A. sp. A were found both in the highlands and lowlands whereas C. pentheus was confined to the highlands.
