摘要

A new type of transflective TFT-LCD which is combined with a novel transflective film and a transmissive TN mode has been developed for mobile phone application. The optimized construction of TN cell with the pixel design of high aperture ratio based on a-Si:H TFTs and a novel transflective film as a rear polarizer enabled the LCD to get high brightness of 180cd/m2, high contrast ration 400:1, low power consumption of 8m W, thin thickness and high color gamut.
