摘要

Diamond-like carbon (DLL) is a kind of amorphous carbon which consists of both sp~2 and sp~3 carbons. DLC coatings have several advantages such as high hardness, high wear resistance, and low friction coefficient. Due to these excellent mechanical properties, it is expected to apply DLC films to various mechanical parts such as cutting tools, metal molds, and engine parts which are typically used under relatively severe sliding conditions.
