摘要

Polymer fibers are applied in a wide variety of industrial fields. These have been produced by conventional and electrospinning methods. One of them, there has been a increased interest in electrospinning because it can prepare polymer fibers with diameter in the range of nano to sub micron. It uses electrically driven jet of polymer solution and melt. In electrospinning, unexpected phenomenon and experimental results such as the formation of beads, necklace, ribbon-like and pore on fiber surface were observed. Nonwovens composed of electrospun fibers have high porosity and very small size, so it can be use in variety of applications in filteration, reinforcing fibers in composite materials, for scaffold in tissue engineering and biomaterial field including wound dressings and drug delivery systems.
