Results show that the use of cold tundish is operationally possible and brings benefits that result in significant reduction of costs in the continuous casting, with no interference in the quality of the product. Another factor of utmost importance is the improvement in the working conditions due to noise the and heat reduction. More than a process change the use of cold tundish is a philosophy change, which brings considerable benefits to steel production
