摘要

The present study emphasizes on the structural implications of the machining procedure on base Co-Cr dental alloys in terms of corrosion resistance. We comparatively assessed the corrosion behaviour of two cobalt-chromium dental alloys: one manufactured by alternative computer assisted technologies obtained by CAD/CAM milling (MIL) and the other one by conventional melting- casting technology (CAS) in NaCl solutions. The samples have been evaluated using several electroanalytical techniques like: linear polarization, cyclic voltammetry (CV), electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS). Preliminary testing is showing that the new computer assisted processing technologies are comprised as a viable alternative towards traditional manufacturing methods.
