In most of the microalloyed steels a separation of second phases occurs, depending on their component elements nature. Examination of several experimental microalloyed steels will try to prove how the alloying elements, like boron and vanadium, change the steels behavior while quenching and temper hardening. Metallographic examinations by optic and electronic microscopy, hardness tests and X-ray diffraction analysis were conducted on three types of microalloyed steels.
