摘要

The liquid electrolyte in dye-sensitized solar cells presents practical problems owing to the difficulty of sealing the cell. The solid-state version of dye-sensitized cells overcomes this in principle. However, a special type of nanocrystalline TiO{sub}2 ceramic films that are less porous but fractally rough are needed to avoid short-circuiting. The methods of preparation of films by different ways and photovoltaic cell fabrications are described.
