Hygiene aspects of drinking water installations

In drinking water systems of buildings hygienic risks cannot be ruled out where essential hygienic requirements or necessary maintenance work is neglected. The large number of drinking water outlets in combination with large pipe systems with a high degree of stagnation clearly illustrate the problems. The new guideline VDI 6023 Hygienic aspects of the planning, design and installation, operation and maintenance of drinking water supply systems" containes the new results of hygienic knowledge of water systems in buildings.
