Safety and efficiency using telematics systems

摘要

The use of on-board satellite navigation systems and 'Black Box' Accident Data Recorders (ADR's) in the area of commercial and public fleets has proved to provide increased safety and efficiency. For example Accident Data Recorders have proved to have a considerable accident preventative effect (large long-term studies have shown a 20 to 30% reduction in accidents) and fleets using navigation systems have noticed the time to destinations have been decreased leading to a more effective use of vehicles and drivers.
