Disclosed is a telematics terminal. The terminal includes: a location information receiver unit; a modem unit transmitting route information to a telematics center; and a control unit requesting a first guide route based on the route information while transmitting the route information to the telematics cent by controlling the modem unit, and guiding the route based on the first guide route when receiving the first guide route from the telematics center. When a vehicle deviates the first guide route, the control unit: autonomously sets a second guide route based on the current location; guides the route based on the second guide route; requests, to the telematics center, a third guide route based on the current location of the vehicle; and guides the route based on the third route, when receiving the third guide route, thereby user convenience can be enhanced.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2016
