Novel Dental Restorative Composites Prepared From an Organic Matrix Without an Additional Diluent

Resin composites are widely used in esthetic restorative treatments. Since their commercial introduction for restoring anterior teeth in the mid-1960s, their characteristics such as the physical properties, manipulative qualities, durability, and wear resistance have improved remarkably. The scope of applications has expanded continuously from small anterior restorations to large posterior restorations and even fixed partial dentures. Dental composites are composed of a soft organic matrix and hard inorganic fillers.
