Polybenzoxazines are a recently developed class of high performance polymers that have boundless potential for growth in research and industrial applications. Compared with commonly used classes of polymers, such as epoxies and phenolic resins, polybenzoxazines exhibit high chemical and thermal stability and low flammability. [1-3]. The ring-opening polymerization mechanism of benzoxazines generates no byproducts, making it ideal for the formation of dimensionally stable and environmentally friendly materials. The molecular design flexibility of benzoxazines has produced an immense number of polymer variants with benzoxazine functional groups. Unfortunately, polymers formed solely from benzoxazine monomers are brittle when polymerized, as is the case for all thermosetting polymers, making self-standing film formation quite difficult [4].
