First Poly(2-oxazoline)-Peptide Conjugate for Targeted Radionuclide Cancer Therapy

`Targeted cancer therapy is the mantra now chanted by oncologists of all types′. This is how Panyutin and Neumann open a recent article about gene-targeted radiation therapy. Antibodies and gene fragments are discussed for targeting of tumor cells. However, antibodies and gene fragments often exhibit serious side effects as immunogenicity or cancerogenicity. Small peptidic fragments are investigated to overcome these drawbacks.
