Our efforts are aimed at developing chemical derivatives of cisplatin (cis-DDP;cis-diamminedichloroplatinum II) with lowered toxicity and (hopefully) enhanced activity (for instance 1).The synthesis of polymeric derivatives is based on the analogous reaction employed in the formation of cis-DDP except using diamines in place of ammonia.
