Because of demands on tire skid resistance,elastomers with high glass transition temperature (Tg) or high vinyl content are of particular interest to be tire industry due to their inherently better trip properties.Polar modifiers,such as amines or ethers,are needed to increase the vinyl content of the diene polymer produced from anionic polymerization with organolithium.
