Electrochromic devices have attracted great interest due to their various applications, for examples, an architectural glazing window for energy control and antiglare rear-view mirrors for cars. The electrochromic materials can be both inorganic compounds (e.g. tungsten trioxide (WO3) and iridium dioxide (IrO2)) and organic compounds (e.g. conductive polymers). The conductive polymers exhibit several benefits over inorganic materials; for instance, the fast response time and the fine-tuning of the color through the structure modification.
