Engineering plastics have been widely used due to their excellent mechanical properties and high use temperatures. In outdoor applications, engineering thermoplastics are expected to meet long- term UV resistance requirements. Based on the limited literature available, Poly(resorcinol phthalate-block-carbonate) (RPC) has been reported to have excellent physical properties, chemical resistance and UV resistance properties. The present study investigates the phase behavior of the blends of Poly(resorcinol phthalate-block-carbonate) (RPC) with engineering polyesters. The polyesters involved in the study were poly(ethylene terephthalate) (PET), poly(butylenes terephthalate) (PBT), poly(cyclohexylmethylene terephthalate) (PCT) and poly(1,4- cyclohexanedimethylene-1,4-cyclohexanedicarboxylate) (PCCD). Semi- crystalline polyesters such as PET, PBT, PCT, and PCCD were chosen, as they are representative engineering polyesters in practical applications.
