Polymer electrolytes comprise metal salts dissolved in a polymeric matrix. Thus, the dissolving behavior and ionic constituents of metal salts in the polymer matrix are very important in determining physical properties, particularly the ionic conduction and mass transport properties.Mass transport properties through silver based polymer electrolyte membranes have been paid much attention recently in addition to traditional applications to secondary batteries, fuel cells and electrochromic displays because they exhibit facilitated olefin transport and can be possibly applied to separation of olefin/paraffin mixtures.
