Molecular tubes represent an exciting component of advanced materials due to their high surface to volume ratios and unique behavior that results from the nano vs.bulk scale properties.While carbon nanotubes have dominated the area,several new approaches to constructing tubes by synthetic or self-assembly strategies have also been proposed [1].
