Start from the situation of vegetable distribution in Shanghai, the new characteristics of vegetable distribution, consumption and product structure are analyzed under the new pattern of general marketing and distributing. The important role of vegetable processing and cold-chain storage is specially discussed in improving product quality and building low-loss, high-efficiency vegetable distribution system. The key points of research and prospective profit of vegetable storage and processing are introduced. The suggestion of development of vegetable processing and distribution in Shanghai is presented.
