Cognitive Radio is a new technology for maximizing the utilization of the limited radio bandwidth while accommodating the increasing amount of services and applications in the wireless networks. There has recently been an announcement of Ecma-International industrial standard that will be embedded into personal/portable devices and home networks to support radio agility by using TV white spaces. However, the standard does not support security concerns. Hence, in order to overcome the problems, this paper proposes a security framework for providing secure common control channel establishment and secure data exchange for cooperatively communicating CR nodes in the flexible environment.
