Understanding solvation in condensed media,such as water or polymers,at the molecular-level has important theoretical and practical implications.For example,hydration of nonpolar solutes that prpimarily exclude a certain volume in water,the hydrophobic hydration,has received considerable attention due to its significance to biophysical and other self-assembly processes [1-3].
