There is a growing interest in antennas that are printed on cylindrical substrates. The use of anisotropic substrates also adds more flexibility to the design of cylindrical antennas due to the effect of the applied DC magnetic field on the performance of the antenna. This paper provides a simple and general method for solving general 2D cylindrical transmission lines that are composed of a mixture of iso/anisotropic substrates. The anisotropy here results from the use of a ferrite substrate having tensor permeability due to an axially applied DC magnetic field.
