Statistical properties of MHD turbulence are studied by GOY-type shell model sand direct numerical simulation. We introduce the Alfven effect with randomized coherent magnetic field into the shell model. It leads to k{sup}(-3/2) spectrum and is consistent with Iroshnikov-Kraichnan picture of MHD turbulence., The PDF's of shell models are compared with those of wavelet coefficients obtained from DNS data.
