Evaluation of Minimum CNC Block Processing Time - (PPT)

A part program consisting 1000 blocks with short line segments (0.254 mm) can be used to determine the block processing time of the CNC. Attention must be paid to the DNC. Flow of data to the CNC can hinder the implementation of high speed machining. For a giving data density, the block processing time limits the maximum feed rate attainable. BPT can also hinder the implementation of HSM.
