Advances in engineered timber technology

摘要

As one of the four AREMA structural committees, Committee 7 is probably viewed by most as the least technical group. We, in the past, have dealt with a natural product with little or no quality control during production. However; as AREMA committees have had to do we have evolved to meet the needs of our user group. As we have been pressed by conservationist, naturalist and environmentalist we have been diligent in looking for ways to improve our product, make better use of the resources available and enhance their use in the railway industry.
